Best Editorial Blog
Editorial blogs express a “deeper” opinion of its editors or publishers on anime than other types of blogs. Many of these entries often provide large personal insight into the exploration of various themes in anime and anime culture. Posts tend to be more general in scope than other blog types, cover ideas and elements not readily/easily seen when taking anime at face value, and often bring in various situations and concepts outside of anime to expand and help define the blogger’s viewpoint. It is the psyche of the blogger in full bloom in his writing, as one attempts to infuse knowledge, clarity and a strong point of view to the reader.
The best editorial blog should provide excellence in its writing, explore the boundaries of ideas in a way that accurately portrays the blogger’s perspective and connects with their readers, and consistently introduces new, interesting ideas that can change our opinions on anime.

I think Jeff is good at editorializing but he does a better job at it in comments than in the actual blogs. And that’s not limited to his own blog’s comments.
